The roars of a fire and the ocean are smelt, tasted and almost heard in this Cultured Butter; featuring a manuka smoked dulse seaweed and red gum smoked sea salt. 

The flavours are complex but not overtly dominant with a salty and subtly sweet marine character that vicariously carries you down to the bay, while gentle notes of smoke conjure thoughts of an open fire under a starry night sky.

As it’s somewhat demure in its disposition, this is certainly a butter that could win over those just starting to dip their toes into seafood / seaweed, or who may think that smokey flavours aren’t for them.

We suggest serving with a crusty baguette, next to a plate of freshly shucked oysters, while toasting the occasion with local cider or sparkling wine. Better yet, head down the coast and pass it around your own beachside campfire.
